EPA Brownfields Cleanup Grant Application
The Fulton County Industrial Development Agency will be conducting a public meeting on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 10:00 am to gather comments on the draft Brownfields Cleanup Grant application being submitted to the US Environmental Protection Agency to conduct cleanup activities at two (2) buildings located in the Tryon Technology Park located at 881 CR 107 Johnstown, NY. The draft grant application and Analysis of Brownfields Cleanup Alternatives (ABCA) will be available from 8:00 am Tuesday, October 15, 2024 to 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024 online at www.fcida.org and at the office of the Fulton County Planning Department located at 1 E. Montgomery St. Johnstown, NY. Comments may be submitted in writing until 5:00 pm Tuesday, October 22, 2024. Please submit comments to jmraz@fultoncountyny.gov or by mail to 1 E. Montgomery St. Johnstown, NY 12095. Comments can also be made at the public meeting. The meeting will be held virtually via zoom. The Fulton County Planning Department (FCPD) is responsible for serving as Policy Advisor to the Fulton County Board of Supervisors, planning, designing and administering Fulton County and Fulton Montgomery Community College's capital construction projects, supporting the Fulton County Center for Regional Growth , Fulton County Industrial Development Agency and the Fulton Montgomery Regional Chamber of Commerce along with others in promoting economic development in Fulton County.
The FCPD is also responsible in overseeing the development of the Tryon Technology Park and Incubator Center , the development of County water and sewer systems and managing the day to day operations of the Fulton County Airport.
The FCPD assists local municipalities with developing comprehensive plans, administering local land use programs like zoning, subdivision regulations, site plan reviews and others.
The FCPD is the primary department for applying and administering State and Federal Grants and disseminating Census, flood hazard and wetlands information.
The FCPD also assists the County's agricultural community though overseeing Fulton County Agricultural District No. 1 and providing staff support to the County's Agricultural and Farmland Protection Board and the Fulton Farm Bureau .
The FCPD is responsible for operating, managing and administering Fulton County's GPS, CAD and unmanned aerial vehicle programs.
The FCPD is responsible for overseeing the County’s Tourism Program through the Fulton County Visitor’s Bureau.
